More than just a simple towel, this muslin evolves with use: the more you use and wash it, the softer, more supple, and more comfortable it becomes. A deeply Japanese philosophy: creating durable objects that age with you and find new lives over time.

Each piece is handmade using only natural cotton. The result is an exceptionally absorbent, quick-drying, and highly durable fabric.

How to prepare it for use?

It has a natural starch finish applied during the manufacturing process to give the fabric firmness.

Before using it for the first time:

1. Soak it in boiling water for approximately 10 minutes.
2. Then wash it in the washing machine.

Removing the starch will allow the fabric to reveal its true texture and noticeably improve its absorbency.

You can dry it in a dryer or air dry it:

• Tumble dry: provides immediate softness and a pleasant cloud-like effect.
• Air drying: The fabric may feel somewhat stiff at first, but it will gradually become softer and fluffier with use and washing.

It is completely normal for muslin to shrink slightly after the first few washes. This is a natural part of the fabric’s natural aging process.

Washing recommendations:

Wash preferably with mild liquid detergent.

Avoid fabric softeners, as they reduce absorbency.

To restore its absorbency, you can occasionally hand wash it with neutral dish soap.

Deep disinfection:

If stubborn stains appear over time, you can boil it for 15 minutes or use oxygen-based bleach.

We do not recommend bleach or chlorine-based products, as they can alter the color and fibers.
